At the Utah Wildlife Network (UtahWildlife.net), we consider your privacy to be important. This privacy policy document outlines the types of personal information is received and collected by UtahWildlife.net and how it is used. Log files Like many other Web sites, UtahWildlife.net makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are linked to forum member user accounts but are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. Cookies UtahWildlife.net uses cookies to store information about visitors preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser. Email addresses UtahWildlife.net requires a valid email address as part of our forum member registration verification process. We sometimes use these emails to send notices of private messages sent by other forum members or to alert you to various other forum issues. Google Adsense These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their advertisements that is sent directly to your browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see. UtahWildlife.net has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices. UtahWildlife.net's privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, these other advertisers or Web sites. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers' respective Web sites. Forum member privacy We respect the privacy of forum members. We do not share your registration or profile information with anyone outside the Utah Wildlife Network. The forum administrator and moderators have access to some forum member registration and profile information, and use this information as necessary to moderate the forum. We do not have access to your encrypted passwords or read your private messages. Private messages, like everything else on the forum, are stored in a database, and in truly exceptional circumstances, those message could be accessed by the forum administrator through a custom database query. There is no ability within the forum software, however, to do this. |
