I fished it last Saturday morning, march 6th from the boat dock and caught six rainbows. Fished in the shallows, maybe six feet, with a small treble with two white plastic powerbait balls (don't know the real name). Occasionally tipping with a crawler and the bite was fast and steady throughout the morning. Only stayed alittle while. If you fish the bottom and pull up leaves cast elsewhere, didn't have any bites in the leaf-ridden areas. Some guys caught some largemouth, about 4 or so, in the south cove fishing bait on the bottom.
when landing a fish be sure not to horse it...

Hit it with my 2 boys yesterday had a good time caught some. Powerbait was the ticket. A couple small slimers nothing big or out of the ordinary. My 2 year old was sure excited to catch 'em.

Took the boys down again. Weather didn't cooperate had a couple hits but nothing that wanted to come in. Still using powerbait. Looking forward to them planting it again. Talking to some of the guys down there. They said that it's getting to the point of being fished out until it gets planted again. One did say he caught a big broodstock laker, showed me a cell phone pic couldn't really tell what it was other than a big fish. Another couple of weeks and I imagine they'll plant it again.

Don't wait a couple of weeks. Check out the DWR's fish stocking report and you will see that the Ponds are being taken care of better than that.
