Well.. The mallards had been stacking up in the goose slough big time and my son has an ice fishing trip with his scouts tomorrow I need to go to. So I did the only thing I could. On my way to work, I threw on my waders, my blind, gun, and shells. I walked out to set up and had hundreds of mallards take off. I got my blind set up and only a few goose silos to break up me and the blind. HOLY CRAP!! The greenies started coming right back and I was surrounded with mallards all around me just feet away for what seemed like an eternity. 7:22 came and I light up old sparky and by 7:40 it was all over and I was at work by 7:50. Sorry goosefreak, with the dark cloud cover and low light it was harder to pick out all drakes, there were 2 hen casualties.

Now I hope the geese start coming back into the slough like the mallards!
