It's definitely a sight to see if you can make it down. My dad grew up in Delta and talks about this all the time.

Might wanna look at a calendar. The 26th is Friday and the 27th is Saturday.

Clarification... the article refers to Gunnison Bend Reservoir.

Gunnison Res is located just southwest of Manti, a long ways from Delta.

whoops, thanks

I've worked the spring overhauls at the Delta Power Plant a number of times and have been fortunate enough to see the snow geese out there.

I have also been in Texas and Louisiana when the snow geese are "flocked" up in January/February. Not good when you take a helicopter through them to go back and forth to work.

Calendar? I'm driving 80 mph in a rental car down Interstate 5 in Oregon, texting and eating cold pizza, leave me alone. :)

Thanks for the heads up! Last spring, I had the opportunity to visit the Squaw Creek National Refuge near Mound City, MO. When we were there, it was estimated, that there was 500,000+ snow geese using the refuge. The sound that all those geese made was deafening.
