I'll keep the tradition going. I'll hike around 8 miles, see maybe 2 does, come back and drag my dad's deer he gets up behind camp.

Nebo, but not until mid week when my daughter gets back from Mexico.

Heading up on the manti to help friends and family fill some tags! I have filled all mine this year so it will be fun just to be out helping other people!

Is there a buck hunt going on in the manti right now? Cuz my neighbor came home with a buck yesterday he shot that morning... I can only assume there is a cwmu or something with its own dates somewhere there (Sanpete County).

There are quite a few CWMUs on the Manti: Soldier Summit; Scofield East, West, Canyons; Bear Mountain; Jump Creek; Hiawatha, and maybe another or two. Hopefully your assumption is correct about your neighbor. You'll have to ask him where he was.

I think I might try hunting the salt flats this year.
I'm guessing there just might be a big sink hole out there somewhere that has swallowed up all the bigger bucks.

My wife and I archery hunted this year but we always go hunt with her grandparents and sister on the rifle hunt on the beaver. Unfortunately this year for the first time ever nobody drew a tag so this weekend will just be enjoying each others company at the cabin and winterizing it.

My boy has a cache tag hopefully he has better luck than he did on the archery and muzzy

Panguitch. It's was the late 90s when I hunted that area while at SUU. Wasn't my first choice but hope to make some memories with my son.

Im jealous cuz although I am not much of a rifle hunter, after playing around with some rifles for a while now I really want to go on a rifle hunt. I am reminiscing of days old. Good luck to all. There are a lot of deer this year. Lots of nice bucks too.

I'm going with my grandson to a secret spot on the East Canyon/Morgan/Summit unit!

I was thinking of going to Wendover and see how many does I can round up.:mrgreen:

Actually I will have my 'doe' with me and I am sure we will lose some 'bucks':lever:.

Good luck to all! I filled my DH tag on the muzzleloader hunt so I'll just be helping my wife, her uncle and cousin try to fill some tags on the southern half of the Zion unit. My wife and her uncle will be pretty picky about what they shoot but her cousin just wants a buck so we should be able to get him one.
