What is a good recipe for this gun? I'm planning to use 143gr hornady eld-x bullets. But not sure which powder and primer to go with. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I've worked with two different ruger predator rifles and had best results with H4350 and the standard CCI 200 primers loading the Eldx bullets, hornady brass. When loading the eldx, I've gotten better accuracy with a bit more jump off the lands than I expected.
Many like the reloaded 17, but I've personally gotten better consistency on my velocity with the 4350. A lot of the guys using the reloader 26 with good results as well. I'm actually going out to do some testing with RL 26 this week if I get a chance.

If you can find RL-26, it's great in the Creedmoor. You'll see some pretty decent speeds with it. It's a tough powder to find, so I'd suggest at least 2-3 lbs if you can find it. Otherwise, I'd stick with H4350, a standard large rifle primer, and any 130-140 gr projectile. My brother's 6.5 Creed shoots lights out with the 130 gr Berger VLD.
