Heading down south with my girlfriend for spring break and want to get some fishing in. I won't have a boat so not expecting great things. Never fished down south any advice? I can repay any advice or help with waterfowl knowledge or maybe trade trips? I'm also really experienced on strawberry when it opens up.

I think water temps are barely 50* so action is probably still a little slow for bass. Once they creep closer to 60* things get real good at Sand Hollow. Maybe try Quail. they have a good population of rainbow that can be caught in the colder temps, and good bass/ crappie in the warmer so you might get lucky and catch a mixed bag this time of year. I heard the new black crappie state record was caught in quail last year (pending DNR measurement and video proof of catch is reviewed).
