Awesome hunting moment (for me)

I went out to hunt deer with my daughter tonight. We had gone out on the opening morning for about 4 hours and then her busy life got in the way until this evening. This was the ONLY night that she could go before the end of the season. She had a make up test in one of her classes after school and then off to the races to get up the mountain before it was too late. We pulled in at 5:00 pm knowing that it's dark at 7:00. We immediately saw some does and fawns. I looked at them through my bino's and then proceeded to speak with my friend who graciously let us accompany him. He had forgoten his bino's and so I looked through my things until finding my extra pair. We talked for a minute longer and then I looked at the deer again that were still standing there looking at us. This time, I looked a bit deeper into the trees and saw a rack on top of a deer and looking at us. I lost all control and began franticly looking for a gun and telling my daughter to get ready. She located the deer through the scope and hit him on her first shot at over 200 yards. It was awesome. She has taken two Antelope but never a deer. This was a great buck to call her first.

This was a proud moment for Papa.

Congrat's to your daughter elk22hunter, that's a good look'in animal !!!!

So....she got off the shot and you still had time for a photo session?? :shock: ..... That's a good evening.

If your daughter keeps making those fine shots.. soon you'll have to buy a new and bigger freezer.. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

And because of Dad's pride, she'll remember that experience and be telling the story for the rest of her life. That's what it's all about.

Congrats on the nice buck. Elk22 Im sorry but I can tell she didnt receive her looks from you. Maybe she got the hunting spirit from you.

Congratulation, that is really neat!! That is great that you could share that experience with your daughter. I can't wait to take my boy out hunting. Also, you have a very beautiful daughter, I mean that with the utmost respect.

Wow... thats a pretty dang good deer for a first. Mine will probably be a doe or a little forkhorn.

Congrats to your daughter... she's definitely off to a great start. You can't see the pride in your smile AT ALL!!!! :lol:

I can't even begin to tell you guys how happy I am that you don't find me attractive!

My daughter is cuter than me. My wife is cute and gave my girl good genes. I am extremely handsome. It is just hid beneath that old, fat and beat up body.

Thanx for the comments. It was a good day and I wanted to share.

No she doesn't, but just the other day she mentioned that she was looking for a man in his mid 40's, somewhat balding, married with a couple of kids and for the icing on the cake was a taxidermist so she could save money on her critters to be done. Let me know if that will work. :rotfl:
