Sunday to Monday I backpacked into the uinta mountains again. Caught my first grayling and got my first 100 fish afternoon! My buddy also stopped fishing after he got 100! I normally dont count but it seemed like a good time to get that goal checked off! Plus it turned into a serious competition! Had the whole valley to ourselves once we packed miles in! It was very warm even at night this time which made for a way more enjoyable trip than my 2 weeks ago trip where it snowed :(. Enjoyed a camp fire, good conversation, good whiskey, good company, fresh air, and a full moon with a beautiful view. I have to say it doesn't get much better than this! All fish were caught with flys nymphs pistol Petes and drys.

Glad we could be your travel agent bscuderi  . Looks like our little tip off paid out big time for ya! Now considering you were using flys.......it is time to buy a fly rod. I mean come on...using a spin caster with flys...what the hell is wrong with you? Using a spin rod + flies means your numbers don't count....hell anyone could use a barbie pole and fly. Just messing with you brother.

Nice to see some better pictures.....I can tell you were drinking in that flask picture...you must have been drunk...look how blurry the picture is! -Ov- Again great work on the pics...but it is time to invest in a camera insted of that phone. Did you try up loading the video to Youtube?

So in summary buy a fly rod, buy a camera and quit using us as travel agents for your personal adventures! :V|:

THANKS FOR POSTING!

Haha hey I like my barbie pole i say it's perfect for backcountry more versatility folded down its a foot long and I can fish flys and hardware I dont have to worry about a brushy back cast or getting on a small creek ;) I can also cast further :) a fly rod would be a little cumbersome in the backpack. Don't get me wrong I want to learn. But since we're giving each other advice I'll just say that I only went without u cause u wouldn't come with me! I'd say the hike scared ya but I've seen u haul an ice auger up a hill! So here's my advice u see slight 20% chance of isolated thunderstorms in the uintas u go! In those mountains there is always a chance of thunderstorms! If there's not its a cold day in hell! 20% equals awesome at 50% u start rethinking plans :)

Looks like a great trip! I love the Uintas! I haven't yet caught a grayling, but I would love to, some day. Congrats on the 100 fish day, too!
