I put in for it a couple times... $1600 is alot of cash. I just realized while Oryx are cool, there were other things I'd rather have / do for that much $$$. I'm glad to hear they taste good though.

Fully understand. That's why I no longer hunt UT general season archery anymore, and, why I'm really holding off on applying for UT moose, mtn goat, LE elk.

I've been saying this for years about antelope. It is favorite venison by far here in Utah. However, if we're looking at other venison, I like caribou #1, antelope #2, whitetail #3, elk #4, mulie #5, mountain lion #6, and moose #7. However, ANY venison is better than 99% of the beef from a store (with the exception of beef ribeyes).
