Anyone know anything about blood tracking devices? I've heard that the blood lights can work fairly well, but I have never used one myself. Anyone familiar with any various types or know how well they work?

We tried one out this year. We shot a small game animal and went back i the dark to see how well it worked. We used the Gerber Carnavore light. I was not impressed. It did do what it was suppose to do, but so did the white light. I guess if the blood trail was very light it would be better.

I thought the Gerber Carnivore was supposed to illuminate the red color of blood so really it could be used in the day as well as at night. Its good to know that there was not much difference from a normal white light.

Not worth the money IMO.
