I thought i had a pretty good understanding of our draw/points system, then a good friend of mine asked me the following...

His grandfather has been recently deemed physically unfit to hunt any longer and has 18 LE Elk points, can his points be transfered to a family member in any way? I initially told him no, but im not so sure now as i seem to think i remember seeing a similar post years ago but dont remember the outcome.

Thanks for your time,
LG

edit: found the info i needed... it appears neither are transferable, although i really seem to remember seeing a post some time ago where medical reasons were being discussed. If anyone could provide some further clarity on this subject id really appreciate it. Thank you.

The mentor program is his only option. He would have to draw the tag and then transfer it to one of his grandchildren that qualify as a youth.

Correct he would have to be there and close enough to communicate by voice or hand signals
