Bookcliffs bucks? Expecially South side?

Anybody know how it went on the south side of the books this year? My wife drew the tag, but we turned it in. With 60 hunters forced on the south side, it looked pretty crowded... and with the warmer temps, not sure how well the migration went. I've yet to see any buck pictures off the south side.

I would of loved to of had that tag this year. The problem is that most people hunt down low where there is very limited hunting. If you hunt off of the top in the pockets above the ledges on the south side you will find some huge bucks. I got into two of them on the ML hunt this year but due to the fact that I had a ML and not a high power rifle I didn't get either one of them.
Back when we hunted the Books all the time we always hunted the pockets off of the top and always got into some real nice bucks.

Had a friend with a tag and Tag Soup. Hunted the entire week hunted off the top and then lower hardly any deer. I would hunt the Books with a ML but never with a Rifle they just spread out to much when they move to lower areas compared to when they are all on the top.
This is the deer we killed on the south side this year. My 82 year old grandpa had the tag. Opening weekend was extremely hot and no deer were down low. We killed this the second weekend and was the best deer we saw. We were happy with it and is the best deer he has killed.

I guess you can thank three point or better for that.
I hunted the Books in 2007 drew with 8 PTS seen 32 bucks in 3 days from 3pts to a bunch of small frame 4 pts like I mentioned. end up taking a 24" 4x4 with nice eye guards he was the biggest one I seen
