box elder doe help

I have the tag and had private land lined up but the deer are not there this year. I dont know any other areas to look or try for access. I am going to let my son harvest the doe and donate the meat to a family in need as we have 2 cow elk aging right now and a freezer full of deer too. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
