Wife and I went out this afternoon after school today to see if we could shoot some doves on a coworkers farm. Not a ton of crops around, but an afternoon in the field is better than an afternoon on the couch.

Shooting started off pretty good for me as I killed 4 doves with my first five shots. I then hit a slump as I killed two doves in about the next twenty shots. Finished off the evening killing a double. Three birds came in together. Killed two with two shots and by that time the third was out of range.

Being from Alabama, the pretty country out here is still awesome to me. And had a cool looking storm blow through. Good afternoon if you ask me.

WAR EAGLE!

Looks awesome! Season opens on the 12th this year down here. I'll miss the opener cause we're taking the scouts shooting up at the Skyline WMA range, but I'll be at Swan Creek later next week. Hopefully have some success. It's my first year so not sure what to expect; I'm just looking forward to getting out.
