Not too surprising. They have been stagnant too long, have relied on military contracts and ignored the rest of the market. FN just won the M4 contract, so where does that leave Colt? Trying to catch up to the rest of the civilian market with an over-priced, run of the mill AR. Daniel Defense and Rock River have the premium AR market, S&W, DPMS, and Ruger are covering the mid and entry level along with every other start-up that didn't ignore the last election. Their only hope is that they can get a jump on the 2016 market that they ignored in 2012.
My prediction is they will sell out to a more "entry level" AR manufacturer like Mossberg or dpms and they contract to assemble the guns with the colt name but with cheap ass parts. Its going to be the death of Colt, which will only make the GOOD colts more valuable. that's my 2 cents.
