Made my first ice fishing trip this year. Went with a buddy who likes to keep a few for dinner so we hit cc. We were on the ice by 9:00 and started out near the dam. Sonar read nearly 100 feet and we didn't get any bites for 1/2 hour so I moved in closer to shore in about 35 feet of water and still nothing. So we came to the realization that we needed to go for a walk if we wanted to catch anything and we headed to the boat ramp. Got over there, drilled our holes and still nothing for over 1/2 hour. Then at about 11:00 it turned on and was hot for 14-16" cutts and we were still getting good action when we had to pack it up just after 2:00. We were in about 25' of water using jigs and wax worms and the road was plowed. I hope that is helpful info to someone.
