Going to go for the Weatherby sa 08 in a 20 gauge. I wrote Santa a letter last night and she said to find one at the best price. Yippie!!!

Nice gun, I've been happy with my 28ga (except the recall joke). I hope you asked Santa for wood, the synthetic is barrel heavy, especially the 28" barrel while the wood is very well balanced.
You won't be disappointed!

I really like the look of the wood, but as I get older I seem to not be to steady in the mud:sad: Monday I fell twice in about 18 inches of water on top of 6 inches of mud that was like glue. Kept my gun all but the butt from getting wet. Cleaned it off and is ok(older 870 express mag 12 gauge) Don't care about the extra bucks for the wood just want the one that is going to hold up best as I get older and more clumsy(have a half numb leg from back surgery). Do like the thought that the wood is more balanced since I'm not.:) Any thoughts guys?
My brother in law has the 12ga synthetic version and loves his. Can't go wrong with a synthetic for the abuse, but man the wood sure looks good.
Santa came early and left me the Weatherby sa08 20 gauge in wood:) And all I had to do was buy Mrs Dunkem a new laptop.

Thanks Ken for the help!
