Was trying to post a video but can’t, shot a doe at 7am this morning, didn’t have any fawns, she was actually with another dry doe.

had a dumb buck walk up to me in the dark, to within 6 yards! I was blasting him in the eyes with my headlamp

Anyone else notice a lack of fawns? Tons of nice bucks though

What were you shooting?

I watched several groups of deer and didn’t see one fawn, probably just different areas. I was also hunting pretty low, not tons of water.

I used a 270 win with a 150 grain federal premium vital shok, it’s what shoots the best out of my rifle

So are the deer in August that you have shot absolutely covered or tick free?

my doe had some ticks on her head, none anywhere else I could see and no more than my wife’s buck she shot on the rifle hunt last year.
