D'oh!

The 2015 general season rifle deer drawings didn't award any tags to my wife's family we always go with on this hallowed weekend so I decided to bring my wife's Browning Gold Hunter so maybe we could bag a few birds if nothing else. We left the cabin to head home this morning and I'll be damned if I didn't see at least ten chukar milling around right off the side of the road. My mind immediately turned to the Browning Gold Hunter and I realized we had left it at the cabin we were now at least 20 minutes away from and my wife's family was going to have to bring home for us.

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson: "D'oh!"

That's funny! :) A couple of years ago I purchased an AR-15, and on the drive home I saw a Coyote standing just off the road. I punched the gas and when I caught up with him he was standing 20 yards in the sagebrush staring at me. I pulled over and parked the Jeep as he just stood there and watched. Here's the kicker...... I have this new AR-15, with two 30 round magazines and NO frickin bullets.

These are the words of a true veteran. The best advice any one could give. I cant tell you how many times I've been taught this lesson over and over again. Still I end up with one but not the other or without either one.

I thought this was funny.
I went up to the Lions gun range today. And yup I grab the wrong savage 24 out of the safe. Oh well I did learn what ammo my 30-06 hates.
