I always turn mine into Fox Valley and when I have enough and my old leathers wear out I make myself another shirt and pair of trousers. I'm not a big guy, so it only takes 4 average deer hides to make myself a shirt and 4 more for the trousers. Both of them have a fair amount of fringe hanging down. I'm currently wearing out (rapidly) my second set of shirts and trousers since beginning muzzleloading and rendezvousing (is that a word) in 30 plus years.
If you have never visited the Fox Valley Tannery in North SL, you should. They have all kinds of leather goods, native american and mountain man stuff there. A great place to pick up a special gift.
