I have been hunting elk hard for the last 2 weeks and now that I am restricted to the extended, I am wondering what your experience have been so far with bugling, where we were hunting they were not bugling alot and i think the heat has alot to do with that, in the years past the elk have been in full swing by now. We were having hard times with rag horns and smaller bulls coming in which is usually pretty easy, let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I have had the same results. I went twice last week, and have been in the elk, but they are just really not calling. I got really close to a decent bull and it wouldn't answer back to me. We had only one that would talk, and it was a long ways away. I think that it has been too hot as well. We'll see how it goes after this cooling off period. Good luck!!
