Extended archery areas

Please help! We went to head up the extended archery hunts on the Wasatch front. Bountiful and Farmington gates are closed. I'm not from the area so I didn't know.. Are there any other good areas we can access without having to have four wheelers?

You don't need to be up that high right now. Hunt the foothills, lots of deer have moved down and the rut is on.
Yeah I forgot to mention we are elk hunting.
Start hiking up you will more than likely not find the elk in areas easy to drive to.

Funny thing is I seen alot of pre rut activity today but nothing indicating they were in full rut mode. I seen alot of groups of does without a buck any where near. Then seen alot of bachelor groups of bucks kind of odd for this time of year

same here. up high in the wasatch as of 4 days ago, there are plenty of does without bucks. but last week in the kamas area i've seen some bucks chasing the does, so....?
Things should just be getting under way, depending on where you are at. If it stays this way much longer though, it becomes one of those bigger "synchronicity" problems.
Ive noticed several bucks chasing does and fending off other bucks for the past week or so. It is so amazing to watch.
