I took my son on one of my favorite Uintas hikes today. Once we got going, the wildflowers put on quite a show.
Once we got to the destination lake, we found the fishing to be a little slow. The usually agreeable grayling weren't especially active, but a little coaxing yielded a few gems.
A few brookies came to play too. A couple of these joined me for dinner tonight.
I did get one very nice grayling.
I couldn't persuade him to cooperate in the grayling glory shot before release. Oh, well.
The scenery can't be beat, even when the action was slow.
The destination pond was not kind to my son, at least in the catching department, but he persevered and we found some more cooperative, albeit smaller fish at a pond on the way back and success was achieved.
Good Times!
