My wife and I drew antlerless elk tags this year, johnnycake. I might have to inquire of you for some good infanticide recipes.
The perfect combo is shoot the cow first and then head shot the calf as it sticks close by. The entire calf is awesome steak cuts. But I like to keep the shoulders whole with bone in for great roasts done rare, and will also usually do one of the hind legs the same way. Perfect for Christmas dinner.

Johnnycakes cow calf combo executed to perfection. The only problem here was that my brother burned through his calf in a couple months and I didn't get any. 20161217_120434.jpg
