Nice shoot! Me and my boy were out after geese this morning too and boy it sure was cold laying in the blinds!! Truck said it was 1 degree when we rolled up.
I've been pheasant hunting this guys property in Idaho once a year for the last 20 years. Showed up this year to ask permission and he told me he leased the hunting rights out to some jackasses from Utah.

Take it for what it's worth but could you have a chat with your uncle and show him that you could do enough work on his farm to take over the "lease" and you both come out ahead?
I have one small farm I hunt that I gift fresh salmon to. We both think each of us is getting the better of each other and life is good.
