I finally saw some geese tonight and it isn't often it takes me this long to get a good chance at some but it was a little late and I was just coming home (without a gun) and some flew over me just before dark and landed in a hay field. I'm not worried about someone else getting to them but will they fly before the morning gets here or with past experiences do you think they will stay until morning before taking off again or will they fly off tonight. And do they normally fly at night?

They normally won't sit in a field at night because of predator reasons, they are more vulnerable . I have seen them sit at night just before a big storm but not very often. If they felt safe they might be back due to the big storm moving in but they are tough to pattern this time of year due to all of the hunting pressure and storms pushing them. Let us know how it went. Good luck
