My Son and I hit Fish Lake on 1-10-14...The ice at the north end just before it goes into the narrows was 3 1/2 in..and we could only get out to 15 feet deep. We ended up heading back to the south end where it was 5-6 inches solid.

There is 9 to 10 inches of hard, clear ice on the South end on Saturday. No slush, good walking conditions.

12-14 inches of hard, clear ice today. Edges were fine. It was cold enough today to be making ice. (about 1/2 inch in a half a day.) ATs and UTVs getting around just fine.

The fishing was........well......epic. :grin:

At least 10 inches everywhere we went on the southwest quadrant of the lake, mostly 12 inches. Hard, clear ice all the way down, snowmobiles making multiple trips across the lake. There's some sketchy slush pockets under the new snow and lots of fishing holes in the ice. Saw one hole drilled directly in a snowmobile track in the snow.
