I went fishing with my little sister a couple of times this weekend (she is 6 and loves to go with me). We fished Hyrum Dam on Saturday. Got there at about 2 PM, and fished till' about 4. We took my canoe out on the water, and trolled for a while. We got one rainbow on a worm right by the dam, and another little rainbow over by the inlet on a spinner. The water was low and muddy, and overall it was a rather slow day. We never did find the perch.

On Sunday, we fished the second and third dams of the Logan River. We got three little rainbows out of second dam on salmon eggs (lost a few others). Then, we went up to third dam, and saw a unique sight. There was a huge cow moose right on the center island in the water. She slowly waded through the water and got out on the other side. Then, she climbed up the mountain and dissapeared. I got some neat pics of her with my telephoto lens. Anyways, we ended up catching one small rainbow out of 3rd dam. The fish were all pretty small planters, but we had fun anyways. I can't seem to register on this photobucket site. It kees asking for my cell number, and I never have a cell on hand. I will post the picutres later on my website, and put links to them on this forum. The ones of the moose are really cool.

Anyways, that was my fishing story for the weekend.
Enjoy.

That's nice of you to take your little sister. It's also pretty cool that you saw a moose.

Photobucket shouldn't require a cell phone number. I'm a member and I don't have a cell. You should try getting to the site by alternate means, since you're probably being spywared or something. I'm pretty sure Photobucket won't require that kind of info.

Try doing a Google search for Photobucket first and then click the sub-link for "login". From there, you should see some options to register.

You may have already tried that, but that's my best guess. I hope it works out for you.

Pavlik,
I have seen a moose up there at third dam. It's probably the same one. The thing stalked me down the bank and then swam off the island and climbed the bank about 20 feet from me. It was the first moose I have ever seen in my life and one of the trippiest things that ever happened to me on the water. Thanks for the report. I haven't been out much lately. It's nice to read that there are still fish in the valley.

Yes, it does look like they could be friends. She loves going fishing with me. Now, its even more fun because she can cast, and reel in her fish all on her own.

I edited one of my moose pictures and made it look really nice. Its one of the only ones I got that shows the entire animal. Here it is: http://westerntroutflies.com/P7280120.jpg
