Went out with some scouts last evening for a really quick, one hour shore fishing trip. I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised by some quick fishing. A small storm cell generated some good winds across a main lake point and woke up the fish. Between 4 of us we got 13 nice healthy rainbows from 13" to 17". Got em on Powerbait, Pixie spoons, Jakes and Blue Fox spinners. We lost several too.
With the upcoming rotenone treatment (Oct. 6), it's a good time to get out there take home some fish dinners. The lake is painfully low, down 30' or so, but the fish are in great shape for now.
