Goose Hunting

I am interested in getting back into goose hunting after many years of no waterfowl hunting at all. My problem is most of the fields I used to use to set out decoys are now manicured lawns with houses and trampolines on them. My question is: Do you goose hunters out there mainly target geese in the marshes as they fly in and out, or do you have access to fields and put out decoy spreads? If you use the fields are they public access or do you belong to a club or are you lucky enough to have friends/family who own the land you use.
