So a buddy and I are planning on heading down to the Green this weekend, and its my first time there. We will be floating it from our pontoons. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions on what to use, where to go, or any tips on how to fish this river. I want my first trip here to be at least semi-successful, so any help would be appreciated! PM if you like. Thanks!

i hope that helps.
+1 on that post. I was going to give a link to it also, but for a while I didnt have the option to post for some odd reason...

It isnt full of groundbreaking info but it is very picture intensive.

Make sure you watch an experienced boater navigate the rapids before you do and follow their route. There is Bridge, Mother-in-law, and a few others that can be rough if you don't hit 'em right. Take lots of buggers and small midge patterns and you should do fine. Stop in Trout Creek Flies in Dutch John for current conditions and pattern recomendations.

It was a blast! We floated the river on Friday on our toons and we caught about 8 each mostly on wooley buggers and I caught a couple on a WD-40. After my first time I definately want to go again its way fun floating the river just going down at your liesure and fishing wherever you want. Saturday we didnt float it because we figured it was going to rain (and it did!). We just waded the river and caught only a couple, again on buggers. It wasnt as hot of fishing as I wanted it to be but still a great time. It was good to get a day off work and spend it fishing. Ill try to get a couple pics up of some fish but I dunno whether I can or not as all pics were takin on a disposable camera. Thanks for everyones advice!
