I got the itch to hunt pheasants yesterday. First time I've really even wanted to go since my lab died in 2018. I headed out solo targeting wild pheasants - I'm not interested in the release sites. I wasn't naïve enough to think it would be easy, but the snow on the ground had me thinking that I might at least have a fighting chance. Here's a concise summary of the day.
