Anybody been kicking some butt on some trouts up there recently? I am more interested in finding out how the weather is up there within the last few days. Leaves starting to change? I'm getting excited for some fall fishing especially for the tigers in Huntington.

I did fair. The water is really low and it is verily movin. The fish surfacing everywhere it was crazy but i guess i didn't have what they want. I think i only ended up with ten fish or so. I think that's one of my worst trips there but it was awesome the elk were bugeling and the coyotes were howlin. Good night of fishing thats for sure.

Hope I'm not too late, but Huntington is pretty slow unless you can get out to where the fish are. Perhaps the cold weather has drawn them in closer to shore, now.

I caught one pretty tiger last time I was there (3hrs) with a minnow about 20ft out from the middle of the dam.

I think that throwing hardware might keep you busier, but the end result may be smaller fish. With a tube, I think I would've done much better.

E. Lake is best from the dam. Otherwise, you're in really soft mud and really bad moss. Once again, minnows have worked the best for me from shore. From a boat (thanks Orvis1),towing a criplure (sp) behind a dodger with RMT smelly jelly worked pretty well.

The better fish will come out of Huntington. I think they're building a boat ramp there, right now...By the dam.
