Many moons ago we were deer hunting down out of Banding.

When we got to camp my partner found a old chair that he kicked the bottom out of to use as a aid for going to the bathroom.

We came back from hunting Sunday morning and he decided that he needed to try it out. About 20 minutes later he came running back into camp with his pants and long John's around his ankles hollering "where's my gun"

Another person that was with us grabbed his rifle and shot one of the biggest mule deer that I have ever seen.

He won the Ziniks big buck contest with it.

No it says TUNDRA

That's just out of this world paying that much for a vehicle!
The first "BIG TRUCK" (W-LT900 Kenworth) I purchased new from the dealer in 2002 was $115K with every possible upgrade available. Crazy what dealers want for a "run-a-round" vehicle. Even more crazy is someone giving them that muck for it!

Thank God I bought my house when it was "only" $300K 🙄. Most of these younger generations are gonna live in a cube adjoined to someone else's cube, maybe even stacked on top of someone else's cube.

A guy makes a thread about a guy shooting a deer with a poopy butt and we turn it into a discussion about the rising cost of getting by. We sure know how to derail a thread, don't we?

It's just crazy to me. My first house cost $134k. View attachment 155451

My parents are the same, they bought a house about the same price as yours in EM in 2002 when everything was dusty and cheap, and it’s quadrupled in price. The thing is if we were to move, we couldn’t get a bigger house (only reason to move, I’m 2nd of 8 kids) cuz they’re way more expensive. We’ve been looking around some parts of Tennessee Missouri and Kentucky but no newsvyet

I paid 225k for brand new built home in 2017. That was a lot of money for me brand new married, with a kid on the way. It appraised for 515k in November. That’s hard to believe 😐

I bought a 2004 tundra in 2008 for 16k with 65,000 miles on it. Drove the wheels off that thing, sold it in 2013 with 160,000 miles on it for 22k. Same thing with the last tundra I bought. Paid 18 for it, did some stuff to it, lift, wheels, tires, tuner, bumpers…. Sold It for 26 with 85k more miles on it that it had when I bought it. Toyotas are worth the investment. And the best hunting/off road capable vehicles on the market without any major modifications.

for a starter truck I’d spend a little more and get a nicer to tacoma. Level kid and a decent set of MTs on it, that thing will go anywhere.

Absolutely right.

I always take my rifle with me when I have to go. It's actually a dream/fear of mine that I will miss an opportunity while using the "facilities".
