If the sear isnt properly heat treated, working the action will cause some wear and create a burr on the backside as the face wears. Its like sharpening a knife and you get that rolled burr on the other side of the blade.I think Dallan and I were both right. There is a burr on the sear, but somebody already knew that and didn't do anything to rectify it.
