Jordanelle is fully capped, except for a small area near the dam. Fished Rock Cliffs today and found 9 inches (measured) of ice. One spot had a small slush pocket in the middle, but most spots had totally solid, hard ice. Walking was fine with no slush on the surface. Fishing was good.

1/27/17 TONS of slush. Probably 8 inches of it. Have real good boats otherwise you will get wet. After drilling through 7-8 inches of ice, the water would pool out onto the ice for many minutes. You end up sitting in a small pond. First time I've ever seen that in my life. Water level must have risen after the ice.

Went back up yesterday and can confirm this. If you stay on a previously frozen area, it wasn't too bad, otherwise, 8 inches of shush as described. Fishing was good.

Went back one more time. Slush is still bad, especially off trail, but the ice under it is solid. Edges holding but with the warm weather, that could change.
