Amos pulled a tendon in his bicep that day and now he is out for the next 4-6 weeks.

We made it out for that hunt too. We were supposed to hunt at 10 but made it there for the 9 AM instead. Fun group of kids. Eric ended up with three birds and Otto (my GWP) ended up with two that wouldn't fly.

It was Eric's first pheasant hunt. He had a GREAT time. Thanks to the guys that put it on.

My fear now is that he's hooked and this could get expensive quick.

Nothing wrong with being hooked on phez hunting. Though fun and possibly expensive. There are worse things for the youth to get hooked on that will cost them far more than a little money and a good time with their old man.

It was my son's B-day Saturday. So in a few more years I'll be taking him out. Shot an e-mail out to the group and no one was interested in getting together. They were starting to hunt. I did a little last night. Hopefully going to look for Huns this weekend.

Went scouting for deer last night up where we were a couple of years ago. Lot's of two points. Glad your birds are coming a long.
