Doesn't look good, we are a little over 1' below where we were at this time last year and over 3' below where we were in 2012. Looks like mud lake is going to be a mud puddle come October and the launches will almost certainly be blocked again this year. Another crowded tough duck hunt for happy valley folks again this year.

It's still blocked off... The barricades were never removed in the spring... Like we were promised
Search and rescue does not want to have to deal with people thinking they can run outboards out there, the channel is deep enough that you can, If you have a mud motor you can launch from the other river to the north, but your not going anywhere unless you can run 10" of water. Water is coming up but if it gets hot this summer you are right it's not going to be looking good fro the hunt.

In most hyper drive mudboats you can run 1-2" of water when up on plane. A few will
Even run with just mud if it's gooey enough... Then there's airboats that don't need water. The point is, we were promised the barricades would be moved in the spring. They were not. How much longer is the majority of the public people going to be ok with being shut out of our public lands with a stupid "excuse" to shut down a public access. We are all aware the water is shallow. Post "launch at your own risk" signs if need be, but block off access completely is not ok. And heaven forbid the search and rescue actually have to use that $80,000 airboat they just bought with tax payer money... To go rescue a tax payer! Or the F&G use their undercover black airboat they had built last year... That also requires too much effort I suppose
