Last BLOOD..
Great way to spend the last day of 2015. I went and scouted some of the fields I have permission in. Turns out, I was able to see some ducks flying over one of my fields right at dark. I decided to walk in the field with a headlamp and found tons of duck tracks.. Made a quick call to the farmer to let him know I would be in the area and away we go.
We didn't know what to expect.
We shot 19 ducks, my buddy had to bail out early or we would have been able to finish his limit.
Think i'll let that field sit for a week and see if I can get 1 more out of it

Did I say I was going to let the field sit for a week?.
I couldn't resist. I left a tool in the field when I was there hunting last and I went to go get it only to see ducks still bombing in.
Now, since there is only 2 weeks left and my wife is due with our child here in the next week or 2, I'v decided to get it while I can.
This was an awesome hunt but, really it was CRAPPY. Couldn't shoot worth a dang, and we had shifting wind all afternoon. We couldn't get the decoys right. It would have been fine if they came in small flocks but, they wanted to come by the 50's and 100's
Well, now I better let it rest a few days and rethink our decoy set.
