Along with all the rest of the hunters, but it is a good spot.
True, but there is a reason. Every morning and evening a herd moves through one of those canyons and drops into the field. Another place you can try that is less crowded is behind Orangeville on the way to the amphitheater. There is a cedar and sage flat on the north side of the road that a herd likes to hang out on

There is a herd by the plant that is about 250-300 but they haven't left the property yet. Been watching them waiting.for them to go back up behind the plant.
There was a huge herd in nuckwoodard canyon before this last storm. They were moving down to huntington canyon. Tried to go back up after the storm but 4 feet of new snow made it hard to get around.

A trick for this Hunt is to get up on all the cedar topped hills. The elk bed down on the tops and you can usually find them if you walk around looking for there tracks.

Ok update for you the elk are down low. Found a herd not far off hwy 10. If you go up Morhland road to were there are the larger hills there is a herd of about 100 to 150 running around the tops. The snows about 1.5 to 2 feet deep in most places so be careful where you go. Wife just got hers tonight out of the herd.
