I hit Painted Rocks at Yuba at about 11:00 this morning. Once I found the perch, I had 10 on the ice in less than 30 minutes. The biggest ones were about 12" and they were all nice and plump. I picked up and went to Deer Creek (Rainbow Bay) afterwards and got another fat perch on the ice right off the bat. I got sporatic bites for the next several minutes but couldn't get them up on the ice. Right after I called my wife tell her I was packing up, I landed a 15 inch walleye. That's my first 'eye out of DC. Good day. I'll probably hit both waters again on Friday. Happy New Years.
