I drew the tag on my second choice and realize what I got myself into. I usually have good luck with new units by studying my maps and calling the biologist, but the biologist hasn't returned any of my calls! Looking to go scouting in the near future, but would love for some pointers on where to start looking (terrain wise). Not afraid to lace up my boots and get back in there. I'm not the guy that begs for honey holes, just was wondering if anybody had a general idea on where to start looking. If there was a 25" buck with my tag around it I would be a happy camper. Anything would help!

Just not very many deer on the N Slope .....

Even with the early hunt dates, going to be the toughest LE hunt in the state..IMO.

shoot me a PM and I'll tell you what I know. I love that area. I didn't draw but that's another matter. Happy to help.

What are the boundaries of this unit.
I would hunt Elizabeth Mnt. if it's in the unit.

Oh there are some big nasty bucks on that unit. The problem is there are not that many of them and have a whole lot of cover to hide in. But man that is beautiful country with a chance at a good buck
