I was supposed to go sturgeon fishing yesterday and today. Between the wet weather and a flooded basement from an overflowing washing machine, those plans were nuked. :(
However, once we knew the roads were OK, we headed up to Strawberry. We launched out of Renegade with no problems. The first spot we tried was a little slow. The second, well, we never needed to move again. It was on fire and we both caught over a half a hundo each. The classical Strawberry tube jig time is here. We were tipping with chub meat. Almost all slot cutts. One bow between us and maybe 1-2 slot busters, but we weren't measuring or keeping. A few sub slotters too. It was quite windy but not unbearable. Fish were in great shape. It was too cold to take pictures today. 20-25 ft. depth was the ticket.
