Antlerless points are wiped clean when you draw, regardless of which choice your tag was.
Preference Points
When will the preference point total be updated on the DWR web site? I was unsuccessfull in drawing an anterless permit but the preference point total has not be undated yet? I know a person that did draw on his second choice, will he get a point for this year?

Vanilla is spot on. It is a bit ridiculous/confusing that point structures don't all function the same in the draws though.....
The antlerless draw is exactly how preference points should work... you draw a tag & your points are consumed. The general buck deer drawing should work just like this.

I agree that they should both function this way. Was just saying its rightfully confusing that they use different systems.
