Any strawberry vets have any guess to what the ice might be like this weekend with the cold temps? Any direction on how to give myself a chance at a big cut would be much appreciated also.

And Merry Christmas!

I was up at Mud creek last Sat 19 7:30 am it was a balmy 26 degrees not supper cold
There was 3 plus inches of ice and maybe 25 groups of people fishing most of the day
I spoke with one other person who caught two fish and had a camera and said that there are alot of fish swimming around
I caught nothing But I was out fishing and enjoyed myself

Mud Creek and Soldier creek by US 40 have a bit of ice, but there is also alot of people fishing those areas. Word has it that the lake completely froze over last night, So I would wait a week or so before I ventured out where people havent already been. Depending on how much it snows tonight and tomorrow, that could slow down the freeze also.
