Here is a picture of the Silhouette Series stonefly (AirBug) tied with a "new" way of using the O2 heat shrink for the body. It creates a nice silhouette and with the two air-filled chambers, elk wing, and foam head it is a nice floater. It still sits down nicely in the meniscus. This is a fun technique. I have used it for cicada, hoppers, and beetles. By changing the color of body, foam head, and rubber legs, one can create a bunch of fun patterns. The Silhouette Hopper (Hoppair) is my go to terrestrial in late summer through fall.

Those look very nice.

I need to pull myself away from the bass this summer and get into some hopper action. It is always a lot of fun to catch fish on the surface with stuff larger than the pocket lint size flies I usually use.
