Pro never thought you would hunt with a rifle.
Not only would I never hunt spikes with a rifle, I will never hunt spikes again. I was being a wise-a$$ on this, the spike tags haven't sold out, despite the 'high demand' for these quality tags.

Three days from the opener and still tags available. Like utfireman said, we should increase the spike tag quota due to the high demand for them.

Pro, you are an absolute idiot if you don't think there is demand for spike tags. As of September 24th almost 9,000 tags had been sold...if there weren't a demand for them, this many would NEVER have sold.

And, by the way, I have purchased general deer tags the day before my hunt started...how is this any different?

What a mature and wise response to a slight jab. Good form. You, in all your pompous glory, failed to either comprehend the difference between "high demand" and "demand", or intentionally ignored it! I could say, "you are an absolute idiot if you can't admit there is a demand, but not a high demand for spike tags", but I'll refrain. 8)

By the way, those general deer tags, where they back when the quota was either non-exisistant or when the quota was NEVER met? You figure out the difference......unless you are an i.....!

Where? If it was last year, obviously the demand for THAT tag was not HIGH, otherwise it would have been sold out. Is that really that difficult to see? A Henries deer tag is what I would call "high demand", a spike tag on the Beaver is NOT!

Demand/ High demand.

I don't think anyone will say that there is not a demand for these tags. Let alone a demand for any type of tag. But to say that spikes are high demand hunt is wrong. If it was a high demand hunt these tags would have been sold out months ago when they first became available. There would have been people camped out days before, waiting to get a tag to hunt.

This is not the case, people go because it is an option. I am going out, but I am not buying a tag. I am going so that I can spend time in the field with my family. Which is a tradition, I don't need a tag in my pocket to make it a true tradition. Just spending time in the hills with them is good enough for us. I hope everyone has a safe trip and good luck to those with a tag. Your the one's who are keeping our herds in check. Many thanks. O*--
