I think I’m starting to get the big bathtub figured out. I was getting my butt handed to me pretty good since mid March but figured the more I was out the more I was getting mapped out on the fish finder. Been hitting it a couple days a week for a month now. But the last couple trips have been more productive as the water is warming and I am figuring some things out. Good luck fellas, can’t wait for may and June when they start feeding!!

Hey, way to go. Thanks for the report and pictures.

You're right about figuring things out, you have to put in the time.

I'm glad someone else is out there fishing. I thought I was the only one on this site that fished anymore from the lack of reports.

Thanks TO! Yeah, I have heard and am finding out it takes putting in time for this pond. I’m new to the trolling and the Willard scene and I can honestly say catching cats on cranks is crazy! I’ve caught countless cats in my life but never on a crank till this adventure haha. Would have never guessed... I used to fish a ton as a kid and am getting back into it this year. Spending time with my youngest son and think the fishing scene is a little less of a who’s wanker is bigger (like the hunting scene) is a good change.

Thanks Catherder! Me and my boy are up to the challenge and willing to put in the time to get her figured out. Be lots of fun fish or no fish, already has been. But I’m still looking forward to the wiper turning on and getting into those fighting buggers hot and heavy! 😁

Some of us are living vicariously through posts at the moment.

I haven't done much warm water fishing out west. But back in the midwest the weirdest catch I had was a catfish on a jitterbug. Totally unexpected.

Catching catfish on flies in Deso is a blast. They are small but you can catch plenty for taco night. It's also fun to just watch them feed off the the massive hatches at dusk. We'd swim in the eddies and have hundreds of catfish hitting the surface by us.
