I have a friend who uses a shoulder sling and a cover similar to the one you show. I think it would be handy to cover the string when traveling on your ATV or UTV to keep the dust off it. When loper hunting, I put my bow inside a pillow case to keep the dust out. Other than that, it is just another piece of weight or equipment to keep track of while hunting.

When I first saw one I thought, "man, how nice would that be when hiking in a couple miles?"

Then I remembered I'd be hunting, and the last thing I want to worry about is trying to "unsling" my bow from that when I have an elk at 30 yards...

When I carry compound, I always have it in a sling over my shoulder and behind my back. Carrying a boat anchor in my hand all day gets old really quick. Never missed an opportunity because of my sling. Just a tug on the top and because it's elastic, the sling is gone in that single move. Takes much more time to nock an arrow and attach a release.
